I've been fascinated with the beauty that surrounds us since I was a wee thing, which is when I began drawing. A self-taught artist, I consider detail the impetus behind my brush and drawing the foundation of all my paintings. My love of color is apparent and is used to create the moods I desire. The human figure is my passion and birds run a close second. Plein air painting with the Marco Outdoor Artists is another favorite and I consider it continuing education. Teaching beginning and intermediate oil painting is a joy and keeps me on my toes! I participate in local wet paint events, such as "Marco Island Wet Paint Live" and "Third On Canvas" in Naples; am a member of Oil Painters of America, International Guild of Realism, Naples Art Assoc., and Art League of Bonita Springs.
