LEVEL OF INSTRUCTION: This is a BEGINNER LEVEL class, but you have the ability to progress very quickly to more advanced application once you learn about the use of the correct tools.
STRUCTURE OF YOUR CLASSES: In this class you will learn how to create your own jewelry. From beginning beading to creating your own pendant out of metal. The objective of this one day class is to introduce you to the tools, techniques and approach to BASIC JEWELRY DESIGN. From this class you will be able to decide if this is for you and where to go to learn more in depth on your own. The first part of the class is demonstrations and hands on time with each of the tools used in the process of beading and metalworking. The second part of the class is application of design, design review and plan. The third part of the class is execution of your proposed design.
SUBJECT MATTER: You will learn the use of jewelers tools such as the ROTARY TOOL, TORCH, HAMMERS, FILES, SANDING AND ABRASIVES . All the tools are provided by the instructor. Time allowing we will discuss as a group the results of each project, and how your results were achieved.
WHAT THE STUDENT CAN EXPECT TO ACCOMPLISH BY THE END OF YOUR COURSE OF INSTRUCTION: You can expect to at a minimum have a strong understanding of the construction of jewelry and if it is something you wish to undertake. At best you will have a beautiful finished necklace incorporating all the techniques learned in just one day. NOTE: Results will vary and as you practice techniques learned in the class you will see more dramatically desirable results.

BabS Barbara Snyderman, has been teaching jewelry design classes since the mid 70's. First for the US Military through the Recreation Department. She went on to teaching workshops for The Lee County Alliance for the Arts. And for the last 15 years at her business in Fort Myers, Florida. BabS has become quite renowned in Southwest Florida for her jewelry designs. She and her business partner and husband Kerry own BabS Bead Warehouse, where designers from all over the world enjoy the best selection and highest level of design support.
